Kai is a phoenix who has lived for centuries due to the regenerative powers of his species. Once a captain of his tribe’s stealth team, he was the sole survivor of the war that happened long ago between his kind and humans. Due to a deal he made with the elves to bring his tribe back, he is now tasked to do their dirty work.

This is an original character that takes part in my artbook, fulfilled as my final assignment for the Art and Illustration Fulltime Course that I enrolled in. The project is about a world where humans live among the supernatural. Driven by the search for his missing human mother, Sieran the witch, along with his cat familiar Mico and his best friend Fenri, abandon their peaceful city life to investigate the increasing cases of missing humans in the kingdom. Inspired by the growing popularity of Japanese RPGs, the character and environmental design for this project contains a lot of elements from the RPG world.
